Everything on this site is built from public-domain or openly licensed sources. We do not copy data, text or layouts from other ZIP code sites. Data release 2026-10-12, built 2026-10-13, covering 41,711 ZIP codes of which 33,791 have census boundaries.
Coverage: what is filled in, and what is not
A blank on a page means the source did not publish a figure for that ZIP code. It never means zero. This table is counted from the release itself, so it cannot drift away from what the pages actually show.

What a ZIP code is, and what it is not
A ZIP code is a set of mail delivery routes, not an area on a map. The Census Bureau approximates it with a ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA), which is what every boundary map and every demographic figure on this site describes. They are close, but they are not the same thing, and we label them accordingly.
ZIP codes that serve only post office boxes, or a single large organisation, have no ZCTA at all — there is no area to tabulate. Those pages show location and routing facts and no demographics, because none were ever measured.
A ZIP code can also span several counties. We record every county it touches with a weight, and the ZIP page shows the split rather than picking one and hiding the rest.
